All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata

All Rhodes Lead Here4 of 5 stars

The combination of found family/home trope, small-town setting, a dad (DILF) and his adorable teenage kid, and a slow-burn romance (yes, it's incredibly slow) with a grumpy/sunshine dynamic is simply wonderful! 🥰

This book follows Aurora De La Torre (the heroine), who was recently dumped by her famous (and idiotic) boyfriend. A year later, she moves back to her childhood home and starts embracing activities her mother used to do, primarily hiking. To her surprise, her landlord at the new place, Tobias Rhodes (the hero), initially didn't want her there because his son, Amos, secretly allowed her to rent their garage apartment. As expected, over time, Aurora's sunny disposition begins to win over Rhodes’ initially grumpy demeanour. 🌦

While I absolutely adored Rhodes, I felt that at times he was relegated to more of a side character role. His character depth paled in comparison to Aurora, but I understand that this is likely due to the book being written solely from her point of view. I wish Zapata had written it in a dual POV so we got to be in the head of Rhodes!

My favourite characters in this book are 100% Yuki and Amos. 🤩

Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas

Birthday Girl4 of 5 stars

From the first page, I was hooked and couldn’t put this book down. Then again, is it really a surprise that I enjoyed yet another book by Penelope Douglas?

The story centres around Jordan and Pike, and their chemistry is off the charts! 💥🔥 The age gap, the tension, the forbidden love – it’s all so perfectly executed. Douglas does an incredible job of making you root for the characters and feel every single emotion they go through.

Jordan is such a strong, relatable protagonist, and Pike? Swoon-worthy doesn’t even begin to cover it - 100% a DILF. 🙌🏼❤️ Their journey is filled with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat, but it’s also incredibly heartfelt and genuine.

However, there were a few things that didn't quite hit the mark for me. At times, the pacing felt a bit slow, especially in the middle sections. 🕰️ Additionally, some of the conflicts felt a bit repetitive, which occasionally took away from the overall excitement. But honestly, these are minor issues in an otherwise fantastic read.

If you’re looking for a book that’s steamy, heartfelt, and completely unputdownable, this is it. Highly recommend it! 🌟📖

Credence by Penelope Douglas

Credence4 of 5 stars

I know this book isn't for everyone - honestly, it probably shouldn't be - but I couldn't care less. I believe EVERYONE should open their minds and give this book a try, just to see what it does to you... 👀

I expected nothing less than ✨brilliance✨ from Penelope Douglas, but this book took every assumption I had and smashed it to bits. It obliterated my predictions, leaving me stunned and thoroughly captivated - might be a bit of a dramatic statement on my part, but I refuse to take it back.💅😆

Without giving away any spoilers, I have to say I actually liked Tiernan a LOT. Her story is so sad and devastating, yet I absolutely loved experiencing her journey.

Admittedly, if I was going to take a shot for every red flag in this book, I would have alcohol poisoning🤣 - but that is the twisted beauty of dark romances - I do not condone the actions in the book!

Extremely Short Character Breakdowns Without Explanations:😆

Jake: Jake had me from the start - I swear it isn’t just because he’s a hot older guy…
Noah: My sweetheart. Probably the best person in the entire book.
Kaleb: Oh, Kaleb... What can I say? He reminded me a bit of another twisted, dark character from Penelope’s universe - Damon Torrance (from the Devil’s Night series). They’re not exactly alike, but Kaleb’s deep, dark lostness just made me want to hold onto his evil heart and never let go.😈

I loved this book exactly as much as I thought I would. Penelope Douglas never disappoints, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t hoping for some bonus scenes (hint hint, Pen!). The deep, dark wilderness of Credence captivated me from the first page to the last.📖

The Rivals by Vi Keeland

The Rivals3 of 5 stars

Keeland has not disappointed me as usual! A fun and sexy read with a feisty female protagonist and a cheeky hot male lead with great banter between them. This might be cliché but I don't care but it works!

I enjoyed how the book really focuses on character and relationship development rather than just the plot. However, I believe Weston (MMC) has more development than Sophia (FMC) which nearly leads her to having flat characteristics when comparing them.

In terms of the plot, the premise of the initial family rivalry, particularly Sophia's apparent animosity towards Weston at the start, seems exaggerated and unnecessarily antagonistic, which sometimes lead to me feeling it was lacking a genuine feel. This is the case with the apparent hatred which leads to se almost immediately. If you're expecting a slow burn with any tension, you won't find it here!

Overall, it was a good read and I would still recommend it as it is a standalone and easy to read. I enjoy reading book like this between big series or heavy topic books.

Wicked Little Thing by J.A. Carter and Alexandria Goncalves

Wicked Little Thing2 of 5 stars

The short version of my review is this: it’s a rip-off edition of Credence by Penelope Douglas. 🙁

This book is all about the spice, with absolutely no substance or tension to make it a good story. This is a shame, because the beginning premise of a girl losing her mother and needing to figure out her next steps in life are so good! It could have been an amazing story with plenty of tension to pack a punch. 👀

It is very taboo and spicy, all of which I can get on board with if anyone knows my reading tastes. But without any real story driving the plot forward, it was a bust. I gave it some stars because it at least lived up to being very spicy and taboo, etc. The best thing about this book is that it is short and sweet (definitely not sweet).

Read this if you’re bored, looking for (only) spice, and want a short read. 📖🌶

Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann

Still Beating1 of 5 stars

This book gets off to a bad start, which is continued throughout the entire story and only a couple of *slightly* interesting and humorous parts. Quite honestly, I’m not sure how I read this book all the way through rather than DNF’ing (did not finish) it, perhaps because it is quite short. 🤷‍♀️

Corabelle and Dean have spent half their lives as arch-nemeses, constantly trading insults and pranks. Dean happens to be engaged to Mandy, her sister, keeping them close to each other even after school.

Their dynamic changes drastically when they are attacked, kidnapped, and forced to rely on each other for survival in a cellar. After escaping, their shared trauma binds Corabelle and Dean in unexpected ways, revealing an unbreakable connection despite their history of enmity.

Unfortunately, the female lead of this book is a typical ‘I’m not like other girls’ trope. I think this is shown simply by her name: Corabelle. What kind of name is this? Especially when her sister has an ordinary name, Mandy. 😐

Dean, the male lead, is just okay - arguably the best character in the book, although that's not saying much. Despite being portrayed as a 'bad boy', he mainly engages in childish pranks with Corabelle. His perspective was the highlight of the book for me due to his common sense.

Another thing that bugged me about Corabelle was her ego and selfishness. It is so massive that when Dean confesses he ended his engagement to Mandy (after their escape), she jumps to the conclusion it's because of her, despite his insistence otherwise. This misinterpretation highlights her self-centred nature. 😭

The background characters are forgettable and lack depth, making them one-dimensional and unmemorable to the point that their names slip from memory quickly.

Funnily enough, another one of the better parts of this book is the serial killer, Earl. It adds intrigue with his method of kidnapping and torturing pairs to make them fall in love before killing them. 💔❤️‍🩹🔪

The Worst Best Man by Lucy Score

The Worst Best Man 3 of 5 stars

I enjoyed reading it so much that I finished it in less than 24 hours, however, I preferred Lucy's other books much more. I love the FMC, despite being slightly OTT, but the MMC was lacking slightly. I'm thinking it's because there wasn't too much of their pasts explored. Also, I first half of the book, in the storyline sense, was rather bizarre. I felt like there were two climaxes in the book, yet both were somehow lacking and the first was slightly suspect 🧐 The wedding aspect of the book only lasted until 30-40% which was unexpected, I thought it would be the whole book from the title! I also thought it would be much more of a slow burn considering it's kind of an enemies to lovers trope but that didn't last long either.

Nevertheless, the side characters are awesome, the spice definitely spiced 😉 and the book gave my Pretty Woman vibes (which is amusing as there's a joke in the book about it!). Again, I read this so fast, and it was a great palate cleanser after reading a fantasy book series.

For the Fans by Nyla K.

For the Fans5 of 5 stars

This was a surprising gem! I didn't expect to enjoy it so much, as it is my first ever MM romance, so I wasn’t sure what it would be like, but it surpassed all my expectations. 👬

Considering Nyla K specialises in LGBTQ+ representation, I should have guessed it would be brilliant! While it's filled with plenty of steamy scenes, they were uniquely meaningful and intimate, not just driven by lust. Each encounter between Avi and Kieran felt like a deeper connection was forming, drawing me in completely.🥰

Despite the book's length, I never grew bored. The slow burn enemies-to-lovers dynamic between stepbrothers was brilliantly executed, especially with the strong hurt-comfort trope woven throughout. Kieran had a deeply traumatic past, and the way his trauma was portrayed felt raw and heartbreaking yet beautifully developed.

The connection between the characters was profound, showing their mutual dependence and how they became each other's world.🌏 I couldn't get enough of their captivating love story, and both characters were incredibly well-developed.❤️ Overall, I'm genuinely obsessed with this book and its characters—simply wow!

My favourite side character is 100% Frankie (you will agree if you read it, I swear!) I want her to be my best friend!😍

To Burn in Brutal Rapture by Nyla K.

To Burn in Brutal Rapture2 of 5 stars

Nyla K crafts a tale of passion and pain, weaving together the lives of two souls bound by desire and darkness. Set against a backdrop of forbidden love and societal expectations, this novel delves deep into the complexities of human emotion, exploring the fine line between ecstasy and agony.⚖️

To Burn in Brutal Rapture is a visceral and intense journey that will leave you breathless. Nyla K's evocative prose plunges you into a world where passion and suffering collide, immersing you in the tumultuous lives of the characters.

However, I found the character development somewhat lacking, leaving me wanting more depth and insight into their motivations. Additionally, while the raw intensity of the narrative is undeniably gripping, at times it felt overwhelming, overshadowing the subtleties of the story.

Overall, this book is a gripping read that will ignite your senses and leave you haunted by its beauty and plot, despite its shortcomings.

PS. My favourite character dies 😭

Swallow Me Whole by Gemma James

Swallow Me Whole 2 of 5 stars

I’m not usually a fan of the friends-to-lovers trope but I wanted to give it a try. I found that I enjoyed the trope, but everything else… 🥲

What began as enjoyable quickly took a downward turn for me. I appreciated the chemistry between Sadie and Ashton, but the overall storyline felt dull. 😔 The inclusion of the other woman (OW) seemed forced and only served to add unnecessary drama that didn't resonate with me. Additionally, I found the intimate scenes to be repetitive.

Despite Ashton's promiscuity not bothering me, Sadie's passivity became tiresome.🙄 It was frustrating to witness a grown woman who doesn't live at home struggle to assert herself with her father.

Despite not being a fan of this particular book, I am willing to read other books by Gemma James in the future as I hear good things all the time, especially about her Zodiac series! Fingers crossed I like other books of hers in the future.🤞

Night Shift (Daydreamers, #1)4 of 5 stars

Kendall Holiday, a devoted bookworm, finds solace in the pages of romance novels during her graveyard shifts at the university library.📖 Her peaceful routine takes an unexpected turn when Vincent Knight, the enigmatic captain of the basketball team,🏀 seeks her help with poetry recommendations.✒️ As their worlds collide, Kendall is thrust into her own romance novel, complete with twists, turns, and plenty of miscommunication.🤦‍♀️

💭 Night Shift is a delightful and fluffy read that offers a charming escape into the world of romance. While the characters felt underdeveloped, especially the male lead, Vincent, the relatable nature of Kendall, our book-loving protagonist, kept me engaged.🥰 Her struggles with high standards set by fictional men and the exploration of her love for poetry added depth to the story. However, the constant miscommunication between the characters became a repetitive trope that hindered the development of their relationship.😬 Despite this, Kendall's self-awareness brought a refreshing perspective to the narrative.

Overall, this book is a fun and enjoyable read perfect for fans of romance looking for a light-hearted escape.🥳

Hate Mail by Donna Marchetti

Hate Mail4 of 5 stars

A decade-long pen-pal rivalry that transforms into an unforgettable love story. 🌟

📖 Blurb: Naomi and Luca have been pen-pals since fifth grade, evolving from bitter rivals to close friends. But when the letters stop for two years, Naomi is shocked to receive a new one at her news station, prompting a new chapter in their story.👀

💭 My Thoughts: I'M SO OBSESSED WITH THIS BOOK 🥹💗

Naomi and Luca have become one of my fave couples of all time, ngl.🥰 The chemistry they have is INCREDIBLE. Luca's personal story is devastating, and I connected with him a lot.

There are some small things I did not like about the book, but it’s impossible not to give it 5 stars with the charisma that all the characters have. Luca Pitchler has become one of my book boyfriends 🤭💗

Unfortunately, I couldn’t give it the full five stars because of some plot issues. Luca tracks Naomi down, moves into her building, meets her under false pretences, conceals his identity, tampers with her mail, starts a relationship with her, and only comes clean about his identity once you’ve basically figured it out on your own.😬 This is obviously not a good thing, but “he’s attractive so it’s fine” - classic Zane Meadows stalker trope from the Cat and Mouse Duet.👀

Then there’s the best friend… she’s pushy, nosey, and gives terrible advice throughout the book. Them flying all over the country to talk to people who knew him.🙄

Despite these plot issues, the characters' charisma and chemistry made it a page-turner. I finished it in a day because I couldn't put it down!😍

Nevermore by Shenen Ricci

Nevermore (A Twist to the Tale, #1)4 of 5 stars

✨ A Tale of Self-Discovery and Unlikely Love ✨

First of all, isn't the cover art stunning?!

In Nevermore, Aurore Bardot grapples with the confines of her role as a romance author, her muse fading and her sister's hope hanging in the balance. Unexpectedly, she encounters her greatest adversary, Spectre, the enigmatic artist behind her portrayal as 'The Sad Girl.' Though seemingly opposites, Aurore and Spectre share a vulnerability that defies logic, leading to an unexpected connection.

💭 Nevermore transcends the boundaries of a typical romance, offering readers a poignant exploration of self-acceptance, resilience, and the transformative power of love. This book spoke to me on a deeply personal level, inspiring me to embrace my own reality and believe in the beauty of my dreams.🥰

The seamless integration of illustrations enhances the narrative, captivating the reader's attention and adding depth to the storytelling. While the book may start slow, the journey is well worth it, unfolding into a tapestry of smut, fluff, and emotional depth that leaves a lasting impact.

Overall, this book is a compelling read that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of love. Shenen Ricci's homage to women of all kinds serves as a reminder that every girl deserves a chance at happiness, no matter her past or present struggles.💕

⚠️ Trigger warnings: This book handles sensitive topics, including suicide attempts and parental abuse, with sensitivity. Reader discretion is advised.

Tryst Six Venom by Penelope Douglas

Tryst Six Venom5 of 5 stars

Marymount girls maintain their pristine image, but beneath the surface lies a world of hidden desires. 👀 Clay Collins, the epitome of control, harbours secret longings for something wild and dangerous. Olivia Jaeger, defiant and bold, challenges societal norms with her allure.😈 When their paths collide, sparks fly and boundaries blur, igniting a forbidden romance! 😜

💭 My Thoughts: Tryst Six Venom delivers a scorching f/f romance that ignites the pages with passion and intensity.👭 Penelope Douglas masterfully weaves a tale of enemies to lovers, blending moments of fiery conflict with simmering desire. Clay and Olivia's journey is captivating, filled with palpable tension and undeniable chemistry. 😍

Yet, it's the depth of the side characters, like Macon Jaeger, that leaves you yearning for more. The Jaeger brothers deserve their own books! This should become an entire series because I need to know more! 🧐

⚡️ Overall, Douglas skilfully balances passion with redemption, crafting a story that lingers in your mind long after the final page. This book is a compelling standalone, brimming with heat, heart, and the promise of redemption. Douglas once again proves her prowess in crafting captivating narratives that resonate with readers.🥰📖

📖 I was really excited by the description of this book, but it just wasn’t for me. The language was weird, and the dirty talk was cringe-worthy.😬 Also, I don’t need to know the brand of everything they own. The Last Train Home by Elle Cook

The Last Train Home3 of 5 stars

A lot can happen in seven seconds. A lot can happen in seven years. This story begins with a chance meeting between Abbie and Tom on the last train home - a moment that sparks an undeniable connection. 💕

But when the train jolts to a stop and everything goes dark, this initial connection is put to the test, leading them on a journey that spans years, separations, and many “almost” moments.

💭 My Thoughts:

The Last Train Home has the feel of a real-life love story, complete with missed opportunities, difficult decisions, and the bittersweet reality of bad timing. Abbie and Tom are refreshingly real; their choices, mistakes, and growth make them relatable and human, even when their actions - especially Abbie’s - can be frustrating.😤 Life gets messy for these two, and they face those frustrations and conflicting choices, which is both the book’s strength and its struggle.

At times, the pace and decisions felt stretched, almost as if Abbie and Tom were continuously circling each other without resolving anything. And while their love is genuine, certain choices, especially the emotional infidelity hints and heavy miscommunication, felt at odds with it made me struggle with rooting for their relationship. The lack of diversity also felt like a missed opportunity to add depth and inclusivity to the story.😞

Morbidly Yours by Ivy Fairbanks

Morbidly Yours (Love in Galway, #1)5 of 5 stars

Set in the hauntingly beautiful Galway, Morbidly Yours is a romantic, heart-tugging journey that follows Callum, a quiet Irish mortician,⚰ and Lark, an American animator with a past she's not quite ready to let go of. To inherit his family’s business, Callum has to marry before turning 35 - a feat he’d rather avoid but can’t ignore. Enter Lark, who volunteers to help him find “The One” despite her own fear of love’s complexities.❤️‍🩹

💭 My Thoughts:

This book nails the friends-to-lovers trope while sensitively exploring grief, healing, and the delicate balance between darkness and joy. Callum is a refreshing and unique character - soft-spoken, demisexual, and struggling with a stutter, all written with nuance and respect.🥰 And Lark, a vivacious widow who has loved deeply before, brings so much light into his life. Watching their chemistry build slowly was just beautiful, especially with Callum’s shy charm (including some well-timed dirty talk in Irish!).🫣

🌶️ The spice level? High! This slow-burn romance is as hot as it is heart-warming.

The only downside? The ending could have taken a different turn. Callum’s attempt at a grand gesture veers into cringe territory, and Lark’s late-game choices feel out of character. But even with a few stumbles, this story’s journey makes it worthwhile.😍

The DM Diaries by Teagan Hunter

The DM Diaries4 of 5 stars

What happens when a plus-size influencer accidentally slides into a movie star’s DMs? Flirty banter, sweet moments, and an unexpected romance that will leave you grinning from ear to ear! The DM Diaries by Teagan Hunter is the perfect mix of humour, heart, and heat—a rom-com that delivers on all fronts. 🥰

💭 My Thoughts:

Olive O’Brien: A queen. Olive’s confidence, humour, and vulnerability as a curvy influencer are refreshing and relatable. Watching her stand her ground and own her space while staying authentic made her an unforgettable FMC.💕

Jude Rafferty: Oh my gosh, Jude is one of the sweetest MMCs I’ve ever read. He’s kind, funny, and thoughtful, and I loved seeing how he worked to protect Olive and prove himself. Absolute cinnamon roll energy!

Their banter—both online and IRL—was everything. From the playful teasing to deeper conversations, their chemistry was so natural and swoon-worthy.

The side characters were amazing! Jude’s siblings, Olive’s bestie Annie, and even the publicists added so much charm to the story. Special shoutout to Jasper (Jude’s movie-star brother), who absolutely deserves a book of his own. 📖

💌 Highlights:

This book handles fame, secrets, and love in such a light yet meaningful way. I especially appreciated how it avoided toxic relationships or unnecessary drama between the main characters and their support systems. Everyone around them was genuinely rooting for their happiness, and that positive vibe made the book even better.

🎭 Final Thoughts:

If you love celebrity romances with a strong, confident heroine, a sweet hero, and lots of heart, The DM Diaries is for you. It’s a feel-good rom-com that will have you smiling (and maybe begging for Jasper’s story next 👀).

November 9 by Colleen Hoover

November 94 of 5 stars

Fallon and Ben’s story is a whirlwind of emotions - from laughter to heartbreak. They meet on the eve of Fallon’s cross-country move, agreeing to reconnect for one day, every year, for five years. This unique premise sets the stage for a love story filled with humour, heartache, and a lot of unexpected twists.

My Thoughts:

Their first meeting? Adorable and hilarious. Ben pretending to be Fallon’s boyfriend to help her face her father? GOLD.😆
Fallon’s scars, both emotional and physical, add so much depth to her character. Watching her reclaim her confidence was one of my favorite parts.
Ben’s manuscript later in the story? A story within a story moment that brought everything together so beautifully.🥰

While I loved Fallon and Ben, the twist with Ben and Jordyn (his late brother’s wife) didn’t sit well with me. I get that Fallon hurt him, and Ben’s connection with Jordyn through his nephew is understandable, but it still felt...off. That drama knocked the book down a notch for me.🫤

😭 Warning: Be ready for tears! The second half of the book had me crying like a baby. Colleen Hoover sure knows how to tug at your heartstrings!

Goddess and the Geek by Lisa S. Gayle

Goddess and the Geek (Who Doesn't Love a Geek? #1)1 of 5 stars

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the book for me for many reasons and I did not finish it because…

The prologue is what ruined everything for me and immediately made me think about putting this book down. It begins with introducing the bad guy and we know he’s the bad guy because every other sentence is yet another evil thing he has done. It was like reading a caricature of an evil villain, not the antagonist of a romance book. Plus, I find the over-the-top ‘evil’ ex trope quite frustrating.

When we get to chapter one, we are introduced to the love interests, Gigi and Brendan. As the title suggests, Brendan is a millionaire geek who fumbles around Gigi like a puppy - stereotypical but I don’t mind certain stereotypes in romances. However, Gigi is hiding her big secret which we already know because of the prologue.

Basically, we know everything that’s happening thanks to the prologue and the info dumps by Gigi in chapter one. So, we are left reading about Brandan bumbling around knowing nothing about her.

I guess I would have preferred it if we were also in the dark about Gigi’s past and her ex and then learned about it along the way, it would have kept me hooked enough to continue reading. Another unfortunate thing - I didn’t really like the writing style off the bat either, which probably would have caused me to stop reading the book eventually.

I was given this as an ARC copy to review by Lisa S. Gayle and BookSirens. I am very thankful for this opportunity to give my opinion and it sucks that this particular book didn’t hit the mark for me - perhaps a future book would be more my cup of tea!

Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey

Wreck the Halls4 of 5 stars

I miss Christmas, so here’s my review of Wreck the Halls!

When two adult children of feuding rock stars team up to reunite their moms’ band for a Christmas Eve concert, chaos, shenanigans, and undeniable chemistry ensue. I’m still swooning over this sexy, hilarious, rock and roll holiday rom-com. 🎄🎸

This is classic Tessa Bailey - sappy, cheesy, and unapologetically romantic. If that’s not your thing, this might not be for you. But if you love over-the-top rom-coms, this one is an absolute must-read. (how cares if it’s no longer Christmas?!) 💕

Why I Loved It:

The Plot:
Think ‘getting the band back together’ meets a chaotic holiday reality show. The live-streaming, rock star shenanigans, and family drama make this a wild ride that’s equal parts hilarious and heart-warming. Plus, the emotional journey these characters go through? Chef’s kiss. 👏

Melody & Beat:
These two are the definition of star-crossed lovers. Their chemistry? Off the charts. Their bond? Deep and beautiful. Melody is sweet, introverted, and loyal, while Beat is charming, protective, and oh-so-swoon-worthy.

The Mums:
Melody and Beat’s mothers are former rock stars with a legendary feud, and their dynamic is pure chaos and hilarity. From hippie compounds to charity galas, these two stole every scene they were in.

Get ready to be swept away into a world of temptation and desire!🔥 This is the first book of the Dark Olympus series by Katee Roberts and is a retelling of Hades and Persephone. This modern retelling of the classic myth is pure sin in the best possible way!😈

She's no damsel in distress - bold, smart, and cunning, she's the perfect match for Hades, slowly chipping away at the walls around his heart. I think this is why I loved them as a couple so much.🥰

Electric Idol (Dark Olympus, #2)4 of 5 stars

Prepare to be swept away into the scorching world of the Dark Olympus series - this is the second book of the series, with Neon Gods being the first one. This modern retelling of Psyche and Eros is as sinful as it is sweet.😍

Psyche knew the ultra-modern city of Olympus always exacted a price, but she never expected her literal heart to be at stake - especially not at the hands of the gorgeous son of Aphrodite, Eros.❤️‍🔥 When Eros finds himself unable to carry out his mother's orders to kill Psyche, he does the next best thing: he marries her to keep her safe. Thus begins a fiery tale of fake marriages, political manoeuvres, and steamy passion.🔥

I was captivated by Psyche, a smart, curvy strategist who's more than just a pretty face.💋 Her journey to survive the political jungle of Olympus is as thrilling as it is empowering. And Eros? He's the epitome of a dark and dangerous hero, with a vulnerability that adds depth to his character.😈

Let's not forget the diverse representation - both main characters are queer, and Psyche's journey of self-acceptance is sensitively portrayed.🥰

As the series progresses, the constant theme of parental manipulation adds an extra layer of depth, reminding readers of the impact of familial relationships on one's sense of self.

In conclusion, this is a must-read for fans of steamy romance and mythological retellings. With its captivating storytelling, sizzling romance, and intricate world-building, this book will leave you eagerly anticipating the next instalment.

None other than the infamous beauty, Helen Kasios!✨

Now, Helen? She's not about to let the rulers of Olympus dictate her fate. So, she waltzes right into the competition, rather than settling into a forced marriage where she’s the prize of the winner of the competition, flipping them the bird as she does.🎉 But let me tell you, things get heated real quick between Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus.🔥

Katee Robert doesn't hold back with the action-packed scenes💪 and steamy romance. You'll be on the edge of your seat the whole time, I promise you. And the competition to become the next Ares? Talk about intense!

Radiant Sin

Radiant Sin (Dark Olympus, #4)3 of 5 stars

Alright, let's talk about the fourth book by Katee Robert in the Dark Olympus series.📖 This book takes us deeper into the heart of Olympus, where danger lurks around every corner and trust is a rare commodity.🤫

Cassandra Gataki might be a disgraced member of a fallen house, but when the captivating Apollo asks her to go undercover at a dangerous party, she can't resist.✨ With a reluctant agreement to help Apollo in exchange for freedom for her and her sister, Cassandra finds herself embroiled in a web of secrets and deception that threatens to tear Olympus apart.💔

As an individual entry, this book may not be the strongest in the series. While Cassandra shines with her strong personality and realistic reactions, Apollo falls a bit flat for me. He lacks depth and feels somewhat generic, which is a shame considering his pivotal role in the story.😭

The plot takes a new direction with a locked house party mystery, but it could have been more high-stakes in my opinion. Some parts drag, and the suspension of disbelief is stretched thin at times. However, it's still a relatively quick read that keeps you engaged until the end.

Overall, the book is a compelling addition to the Dark Olympus series. If you're a fan of the series, it's worth continuing on this journey. Despite its flaws, I'm excited to see where the series goes from here!

Cruel Seduction

Cruel Seduction (Dark Olympus, #5) 3 of 5 stars

This is book 5 in the Dark Olympus series.✨

Eris is now the new Aphrodite and has married Theseus, who killed the previous Hephaestus.🩸🔪 This arranged marriage is meant to monitor this new threat, forcing Eris to leave behind her on-again-off-again boyfriend, Adonis, who is still in love with her. Pandora, Theseus’ best friend and another of Eris’ love interests, adds to their twisted political games.😈

As Hephaestus and Aphrodite exchange barbed remarks that feel like foreplay, boundaries blur and emotions tangle, especially when Adonis gets involved. However, their broken hearts might be the least of their worries. With unrest in Olympus escalating, their intimate battles could have deadly repercussions for themselves, their city, and everyone they care about.💔

Honestly, there were too many characters, names, and roles in this one. It's difficult to keep track of everyone! I trust Katee Robert to write good polyamorous relationships, but these four characters weren’t developed enough for me to believe in their complex relationship.😭

There’s too much happening with four POVs and so many relationships to develop. I felt like we needed 500 pages to do it justice (though I don't want to read a book that long about them).😬

Overall, Neon Gods or Wicked Beauty are still my favourites in the series, but I enjoyed this book more than Radiant Sin, despite giving them the same rating.

Midnight Ruin

Midnight Ruin (Dark Olympus, #6)3 of 5 stars

Eurydice Dimitriou is ready to step out of her powerful family's shadow and heal her broken heart. Charon Ariti, Hades's loyal right-hand man, is eager to help her forget her past. Orpheus Makos, her ex, is desperate to win her back, even if it means sharing her love.💞

I enjoyed this one - probably my third favourite in the series! As someone who never liked Orpheus, giving him a bit of a humiliation kink and a desire for penance made him much more likeable. However, I wanted more grovelling from Orpheus, and the relationship felt rushed. 😬

By the end, the throuple had won me over. The plot and smut were great, but the romance needed more development. I loved Eurydice’s character!🥰

The political intrigue is heating up, and the big reveals are thrilling. The ending was abrupt, making me desperate for the next book!🤩

Overall, a solid entry in the series, and I can’t wait for the next books to be published to see where the larger plot goes! 🏛️🔮

Fall Away Series by Penelope Douglas

Bully (Fall Away, #1)4 of 5 stars

- Bully (Jared and Tate)
- Until You (Bully from Jared’s POV)
- Rival (Madoc and Fallon)
- Falling Away (Jaxon and K.C.)

🌟 A rollercoaster ride of angst, passion, and redemption that keeps you hooked from start to finish. 🌟

📖 Blurb: The Fall Away series follows a group of friends and their turbulent romances through high school and beyond. With each book focusing on a different couple, Penelope Douglas masterfully weaves together themes of love, betrayal, and personal growth. The intense dynamics and steamy moments make this series an unforgettable journey.

💭 My Thoughts:

Everyone knows I'm obsessed with @penelope.douglas so of course I loved this series 😅

This series is an absolute emotional whirlwind! From Jared and Tate’s fiery love-hate relationship in Bully to Jax and Juliet’s heart-wrenching journey in Falling Away, every book brings something unique to the table. The characters are so well-developed, and their growth throughout the series is incredible.

The spice level is just right—intense and passionate without overshadowing the story.🌶 I loved how Penelope Douglas tackled serious issues like bullying, forgiveness, and self-discovery, all while keeping the plot engaging and the romance sizzling.😍

A couple of negatives would be some plot points can feel repetitive, especially the constant push-and-pull dynamics between the characters. A few secondary characters deserved more development and screen time. The character development for the main characters across the series is phenomenal though.

Boys of Tommen Series by Chloe Walsh

Binding 13 (Boys of Tommen, #1)5 of 5 stars

- Binding 13
- Keeping 13
- Saving 6
- Redeeming 6

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS SERIES TO CONTINUE!!! 😍

I adored this series and all of the characters in it. I honestly can’t find fault with this entire series. If you like a good sports romance with amazing banter throughout, this is for you, with the sport being focused on rugby! 🏈

I loved all of the characters and the Lynch family and their background really pulls on your heartstrings and makes you root for the family. All the background characters are beyond awesome and the banter made me laugh out loud (much to the chagrin of my husband) throughout the series. 😆 Claire, Gibsie, Joey, and Johnny’s parents are some of my favourites. ❤️

Warning: the banter may be top notch but very heavy subjects are discussed within the books, including domestic violence, addiction, drug abuse, and death. I may have been laughing a lot, but there were just as many tears throughout. 😭

The first two books in the series delve into the lives of Shannon Lynch and Johnny Kavanagh, while the next two books follow Shannon's older brother, Joey Lynch, and his girlfriend, Aoife Molloy. The timelines overlap between the two sets of books, offering readers a glimpse into Joey's experiences while Shannon and Johnny's story unfolds.

I'm super excited for Taming 7, the fifth book in the series. It promises to focus on Claire and Gibsie, two characters who are too eccentric to be sidelined without further exploration. I can't wait to dive into their story and see where it takes them! 👀

I could go on and on about these books, but I guess you will have to read the series for yourselves! 🥰

Never After Series by Emily McIntire

Hooked

Hooked (Never After, #1)3 of 5 stars

Imagine a twisted version of ✨Peter Pan✨ where Hook surprisingly becomes the apple of Wendy's eye, while Wendy herself takes on the role of Peter's offspring, and Peter, well, he becomes the ultimate nemesis. 🏴‍☠️

The story sprinkled in those nostalgic Peter Pan references like confetti, and the added spice? Chef's kiss! 👌

However, Wendy only truly shines at the end, and her character feels shallow, revolving mainly around her wealth, coffee shop job, and love for her brother. She's a pushover for the men in her life until Hook barges in, stirring up chaos and accusations before swiftly earning forgiveness.

The story's climax feels rushed, with characters making sudden, unexpected moves, leaving me puzzled. It's like the plot hits fast-forward, leaving conflicts unresolved and wrapping up too quickly.

I think I’ll have to admit that most of my stars are due to the spice.😅

Scarred

Scarred (Never After, #2)4 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the Never After series. I liked this book better than the first book, Hooked, following Prince Tristan Faasa and Lady Sara Beatreaux.

It is a captivating dark royal romance that delves into themes of betrayal, forbidden desire, and power struggles. Tristan, marked by both physical scars and a traumatic past, is determined to overthrow his brother Michael's reign with a secret rebellion. However, his plans are complicated when Sara enters the picture as Michael's new betrothed, with her own dangerous agenda. 👀

Sara is on a mission to marry the king and eliminate the Faasa lineage, even if it means facing peril. But when she encounters Tristan, the scarred prince becomes a compelling enigma—one she's supposed to despise but finds herself drawn to in unexpected ways.

As their turbulent relationship unfolds against a backdrop of political intrigue and personal vendettas, Tristan and Sara must navigate a treacherous path where love and loyalty blur the lines between vengeance and passion. 🔥

I like Tristan, however, I never liked how he acted in the secret rebellion meetings, when his good complex shows and it was something I wish wasn’t in the book. 🙄

Overall… It's pretty good. 😆

Wretched

Wretched (Never After, #3)4 of 5 stars

Although I still think Scarred is my favourite book in the Never After series, Wretched comes in at a very close second! 💚

I admire McIntire's creativity in crafting an original retelling that serves as inspiration for her works. Wretched stands out as a spectacular dark romance that pushes the boundaries of morality and weaves in intriguing allusions to The Wizard of Oz (this Dorothy is a bitch). 👠

One of my favourite small parts included in Evalina and Nick is her love of poetry and his determination of using quotes from her favourite authors when together. I loved the Slammed series by Colleen Hoover and it developed a soft spot for poetry slams overall, so I was delighted to read it in another book! 📖✒️

While the story is compelling and nearly complete, I found myself struggling with the ending. There was something about it that held me back from giving it a full star rating, despite its overall impact. 🙁

Twisted

Twisted (Never After, #4)3 of 5 stars

Twisted offers a dark, fractured retelling of Aladdin with enticing tropes like enemies-to-lovers, age gap, forced marriage, and a touch of sizzling chemistry and slow burn tension. A delicious concoction! ⏳

While I enjoyed the end result, the transition from hate to love felt rushed. I wished for more chapters showing the middle ground where they begin to respect each other and possibly become friends. Julian's internal struggle is mentioned, but not fully explored. It would have been satisfying to witness his emotional journey unfold rather than being told about it.

Similar to Hooked, the pacing towards the end felt hurried. The final 20% of the story accelerates compared to the rest, leaving me wanting a more balanced pace throughout. Adding a few extra pages to maintain the story's initial momentum would have been appreciated. 🙏

With that being said, I still really enjoyed this book, though it is not my favourite in the series.

It Ends with Us Series by Colleen Hoover

It Ends with Us (It Ends with Us, #1)5 of 5 stars

✨ Captivating. Raw. Empowering. ✨

I’m excited to be able to go see the movie adaptation of this soon and hope it can do it justice! 🤞

It Ends with Us is an emotional rollercoaster that will grip your heart and never let go. Through the eyes of Lily Bloom, Hoover delicately navigates the complexities of love, sacrifice, and the courage it takes to break free from the chains of the past. This book is not just a romance; it's a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the strength found in facing our deepest fears.

📚 This book is a must-read for anyone looking for a story that will challenge your perceptions and leave you contemplating long after you've turned the last page. It's a beautifully crafted narrative that will stay with you, reminding you of the power of love, forgiveness, and ultimately, self-discovery.

In the sequel, It Starts With Us, Hoover takes us deeper into the lives of our beloved characters, weaving a tale of love, redemption, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.

PS. If you are triggered by domestic violence, please skip this series.

The Windsors Series by Catharina Maura

The Wrong Bride

The Wrong Bride (The Windsors, #1)3 of 5 stars

Raven has always loved Ares Windsor, her sister's fiancé. But when her sister bails on the wedding day, Raven is forced to take her place. Now married to the man she’s always adored, Raven is determined to win him over… but Ares only has eyes for her sister. This marriage? It’s nothing short of war.

Raven is briefly mentioned in Maura’s Off-Limits series in Bittersweet Memories. She has a relationship with Silas before Alana is found. This is what led me to The Windsors series.

Let me tell you, the first 30% had me hooked! I thought this was going to be a solid five-star read. The drama, the angst, the tension – I was living for it. 🙌 But then it started getting a bit repetitive… and yet, I still devoured every single page. Seriously, Hannah (the sister) can burn in hell! 🔥

This book is SO ANGSTY, and DEAR GOD, the drama is off the charts! 😅 I get why people have mixed feelings, and honestly, I did too, but I have to admit I was HERE FOR IT. It’s like a bad soap opera that you just can’t stop watching. Evil ex-fiancée sister? Check. Terrible mother who hates her youngest daughter? Check. It’s all so ridiculous, but I couldn’t put it down.

Ares, though… I expected more from him. He’s kind of spineless and definitely more beta than alpha. And Raven (ugh, I hated that nickname, Rave) – she’s a total doormat, even though she’s a supermodel! Like, girl, you deserve better than your sister’s sloppy seconds! But despite all that, I couldn’t look away. It was a total train wreck, and I was here for every exasperating, over-the-top moment! 🚂💥

If you love drama, angst, and can handle a bit of craziness, give this one a shot. You’ll either love it or hate it, but you won’t be able to stop reading! 😈

The Temporary Wife

The Temporary Wife (The Windsors, #2)3 of 5 stars

When Luca Windsor’s secretary, Valentina, quits just as he’s being pushed into an arranged engagement, he finds a solution to both problems—by secretly marrying Valentina instead. The rules? No falling in love, keep the marriage a secret at work, and share a bed every night. What could go wrong, right?

So, I picked this one up because it’s been hanging out on bestseller lists for a while, and it has some tropes I usually love. But… I gotta say, this book was a bit of a mixed bag for me. 🤷‍♀️

Let’s start with the good: Catharina Maura really knows how to write a marriage of convenience, and the chemistry between Luca and Valentina is undeniable. I loved how Luca was always protective of Valentina, and the way he supported her ambitions was really sweet. Plus, the epilogue? Loved it! 😍

But… the book is long, and honestly, it didn’t need to be. The characters were obsessed with each other from the very start, which took away any tension or slow-burn we might have had. By 9% into the book, they were already making out, and after that, it felt like we were just going in circles. So many repetitive conversations about forgiveness and the same spicy scenes over and over. 🥱

Overall, it was a fun and emotional read, but definitely not my favourite from Maura. If you’re into crazy family drama and insta-obsession, you might enjoy this one. But if you’re looking for a slow-burn romance, you might want to skip it.

The Unwanted Marriage

The Unwanted Marriage (The Windsors, #3)4 of 5 stars

Dion Windsor is engaged to Faye, a pianist🎹 he's been avoiding since they were kids. But when he sees her with another man just months before their wedding, he realises he can’t keep running. Now, he's determined to make her his - secrets and all.

Thoughts: This book was a rollercoaster of emotions, and not always in the best way. 🤔 I went in with high hopes after loving some of Maura's previous works, but this one left me with mixed feelings.

First off, the characters seemed... different? Like, Faye was a total doormat for half the book, which I didn’t expect at all. And Dion? I thought he was already obsessed with her, but he acted like he was just "making the best out of the situation." 🧍🏻‍♀️

The OM drama was what kept me hooked 🤭, but Faye’s feelings were all over the place. One minute she’s all about Dion, and the next, it feels like she’s trying to please everyone. And can we talk about that scene? The whole “I held you when you were a baby” thing was just... weird. 😭

On the plus side, I loved Faye’s character development by the end. She finally stood up for herself, and let me tell you, her family deserved so much worse. And can I just say (which I know I’ve said in all the other series books already), I’m not a fan of Dion’s grandma? Why is she always meddling in everyone’s lives? 🙄 Get a hobby, lady!

Overall, this book had me blushing, squealing, giggling, and even screaming at times. Dion is definitely a complex character, he’s got that morally grey vibe.

The ending was satisfying, though, and Faye’s journey to finding her voice made it all worth it. If you love angsty, drama-filled romances with a touch of toxicity, this one might be for you. Just be prepared for a wild ride! 🎢

The Broken Vows

The Broken Vows (The Windsors, #4)4 of 5 stars

Zane and Celeste’s story in The Broken Vows took me on an emotional rollercoaster. The book is all about love, betrayal, and the fine line between the two.⚖️

What I Loved:

Zane & Celeste's Chemistry: The first 35 chapters, centred on their past, were pure gold. Their chemistry was undeniable, and Zane’s obsession with Celeste was so endearing. His determination to marry her, even begging his grandma, melted my heart. 🥺

Catharina Maura's Writing: She excels in billionaire romance with a flair for opulence, high stakes, and deep emotions. The hotel management angle added an interesting twist.👀

Character Growth: Celeste’s journey from heartbreak to reclaiming her power was inspiring. Despite her trauma, she grew stronger, and by the end, I was rooting for her all the way.💪

What Didn’t Work:

The "Present": The backstory was strong, but the present timeline felt rushed. Their immediate kiss and quick physical relationship after five years apart felt confusing and underdeveloped.

Repetitiveness: The plot dragged in the middle with repetitive arguments and hate sex. It became tiresome after a while.😢

The "Betrayal": The big twist involving Lily’s letters and her BPD was underwhelming and didn’t fully justify the fallout. The fact that her father hid the truth for six years didn’t sit well with me.🫤

Final Thoughts:

This book is intense, dramatic, and full of angst. Zane and Celeste’s love story will pull you in, but it’s a long, bumpy ride with moments that will make you question everything. If you’re into enemies-to-lovers, billionaire romance with heavy drama, this one’s for you. Just brace yourself for the twists and turns! 🎢

The Secret Fiancée

The Secret Fiancée (The Windsors, #5)4 of 5 stars

I’m officially obsessed with The Secret Fiancée! 😍Catharina Maura delivers again with Lex and Raya's electric connection. Lex’s transformation from tech billionaire to a loving partner is swoon-worthy, and their chemistry had me hooked from page one.📖

However, I had to dock a star for one scene at the end that felt completely out of character for Lex. It was frustrating and shouldn’t have happened. (I won't ruin what happens though and it's just my opinion)😭

The side characters added so much warmth, especially their protective nature toward Raya—it brought tears to my eyes. The Indian cultural references were beautifully woven in, adding extra flavour to the story. The plot twists, especially Lex’s secret knowledge of their arranged marriage, were genius. Grandma Windsor’s storyline added depth and emotion, even if she drove me nuts at times.

The glimpses of Sierra and Xavier’s dynamic were also a highlight—I’m eagerly awaiting their story!🥰

Overall, The Secret Fiancée is a rollercoaster of emotions with passion, drama, and heartfelt moments. If you love billionaire romance with all the feels, this is a must-read! 🎢💘

Off-Limits Series by Catharina Maura

Until You

Until You (Off-Limits, #1)4 of 5 stars

Just finished reading the first book of the Off-Limits series and wow, what a whirlwind! 🌪️

Aria's life gets turned upside down when she loses her job and her home. She's left with two choices: move in with her brother or take a job offer from his best friend, Grayson.👀 Little did they know, their worlds would collide in the most unexpected way. Grayson discovers Aria is the mysterious woman behind the vigilante platform he's been obsessively tracking and falling for online. The kicker? She's off-limits.❌

Thoughts: Brother's best friend? Falling for each other online without realising it's each other? YES, PLEASE! 🙌 I was hooked. Aria, recovering from a bad breakup, moves in with Grayson after he offers her a job at his tech company. Forced proximity leads to some seriously cute (and steamy) moments. Grayson's protective side is heart-melting, especially with their shared history and hidden feelings. 🥰

Both Aria and Grayson are coding geniuses, which added a fun twist. I loved seeing Aria grow, standing up for herself and going after what she loves. The romance was a perfect mix of forced proximity and forbidden love. Grayson is everything – tall, handsome, rich, smart, and protective. 💕 And Aria? I totally connected with her insecurities and growth throughout the story.

However, Aria's lack of self-esteem was frustrating at times. She was shockingly naïve for a 26-year-old and constantly doubted herself, which made some parts hard to read. Plus, Grayson's behaviour was problematic.😭 He came across as narcissistic and creepy, especially with how he treated Aria towards the end. His apology was so lacklustre, it made me roll my eyes. 😬

Overall, I loved the story and its twists. Despite some flaws, it's a compelling read I’d recommend to romance lovers! 💖📖

Professor Astor

Professor Astor (Off-Limits, #3)4 of 5 stars

This is the third book in the Off-Limits series by Catharina Maura.💕

After an amazing night, Leia discovers the man of her dreams gave her the wrong phone number. Fast forward two years, and he shows up as her professor and PhD supervisor! If that’s not enough, Leia’s new VIP client who hires her as his nanny turns out to be the same elusive billionaire, Adrian, posing as a professor at his family's college. Fate keeps throwing them together, but they can never be together: she’s his student, his nanny, and his cousin’s best friend. Totally off-limits.

Professor Astor is cheesy, short and straightforward, with not much character development or complex plot. But despite that, I really enjoyed it! 😍 Catharina Maura knows how to bring the heat and make the story engaging.

While the plot twist about Adrian being part of the Astor College founding family wasn't a huge surprise, it worked well within the story.📖 And Alice’s sudden interest in her children and trying to win back her ex-husband felt a bit convenient, but it added some drama.🙄

One of the highlights for me was how the author incorporated Leia’s Indian culture into the book. It was refreshing, and I loved that our FMC was traditional. The fact that becoming a step-parent is explored in a romance novel and makes sure to focus on the children a lot rather than them being background characters was refreshing too.

Overall, it’s a fun, sexy read that's perfect if you’re looking for something quick and steamy. 💖📖

Bittersweet Memories

Bittersweet Memories (Off-Limits, #4)3 of 5 stars

This is the fourth and last book of this series!

When Alanna’s boyfriend breaks her heart, she goes after his older brother, Silas, for revenge. Things get complicated when Silas turns out to be her new boss.😬 As they work together, Alanna discovers Silas knows more about her past than she does – secrets she can't remember due to amnesia.

Thoughts: Amnesia romance? Slow burn over years? Count me in! 😍 I loved watching Alanna and Silas fall for each other slowly all over again, and the time jump made their journey even more captivating. Silas’s determination to have a future with Alanna despite her being off-limits added so much drama and intensity.

I did feel a bit uncomfortable in the first five chapters with the age gap and the minor coming-of-age aspect in the beginning, but the story quickly evolved into something much deeper. This book is packed with twists and turns – it’s not just a revenge plot but a beautifully developed storyline.

No book has ever ripped my heart out and pieced it back together quite like this one. 😭 I laughed, cried, and smiled through all the angst. Be prepared for an emotional ride, but it’s so worth it!

Catharina Maura has outdone herself with this one. The twists were completely unexpected, making it her best book to date. And OMG, you will fall in love with Si. The lengths he goes to for love will give you all the feels. 💕

Dr. Grant

Dr. Grant (Off-Limits, #2)3 of 5 stars

This is the second instalment in the Off-Limits series by Catharina Maura.

Dr. Noah Grant's dream job came with three simple rules:

Don’t sleep with the students
Don’t sleep with a patient
Stay away from Harold Astor’s granddaughter

Easy, right? Well, that was until Amara Astor walked into his office with one of her own inventions – an adult toy – stuck inside her. 😳 She's a patient, a PhD student, and his mentor’s granddaughter. Getting involved with her risks everything, but he can't turn her away. Not when she needs someone to test her wild inventions.

Thoughts: Another fun romance from Catharina Maura! I loved the meet-cute in this one and the forbidden romance angle because Noah is Amara's doctor and works for her grandfather. 😍 The romance definitely falls fast, but their chemistry is undeniable. The sneaking around due to her overprotective grandfather added so much tension and excitement.

However, I did think her family was a bit over the top in trying to keep them apart, which got annoying at times. The couple from the first book, Until You, make frequent appearances, and it's nice to see familiar faces. But honestly, the story built up to a big reveal that I wasn't a fan of, and the ending felt rushed. 😅 Love at first sight isn’t my thing, and they were both head over heels by page 3, which felt unrealistic to me.

Overall, it's a quick, steamy read with lots of drama and forbidden love vibes. Perfect for a weekend binge! 💖📖

- All the Boys I've Loved Before

- Always and Forever, Lara Jean

This series by Jenny Han is a sweet and nostalgic journey through first love and growing up. Lara Jean’s love letters lead to heartwarming moments, relatable characters, and charming writing. However, some plot points can feel predictable, and the love triangle might not appeal to everyone. Despite this, the trilogy is perfect for fans of feel-good, coming-of-age stories. 🌸📚❤️

Misadventures of Tallulah Casey Series by Louise Rennison

Withering Tights (Misadventures of Tallulah Casey, #1)5 of 5 stars

- Withering Tights
- A Midsummer Tights Dream
- The Taming of the Tights

Anything by Rennison will always have you giggling.🤣 Yes, I’m aware these are children's/young adult books, but I don’t care! This is one of those nostalgia series that I will continue going back to again and again for comfort. 🥰

Follow Tallulah's hilarious escapades as she navigates drama school, crushes, and the downright wacky world of adolescence.🤪 Louise Rennison's wit and humour shine on every page just like her others.

Some of the humour might not resonate with everyone, but if you love quirky characters and laugh-out-loud moments, this series is a riot! Highly recommended for a fun and light-hearted read. 📚

P.S. This series is actually a spin-off series to Rennison’s famous Confessions of Georgia Nicolson series. You might recall the film Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging - yes, this is from the amazing mind of Rennison! 😄
